Jankowski, Kurek, Kusz, Girard, Brunette, Thompson, Lawecki,
Zablocki, Jarczynski, Seversen, Baranek, Beach, Boyum, Viken,
Lidal, Kaczmarek and Barsness.
I located the my 4th great grandfather in the 1851 Canada census.
Look in Whats New for family name Brunet or Brunette.
We found my grandfather, Michael Kurek. He is buried in
Dayton, Ohio at the vet. Cemetery.
I have confirmed that John Thompson, my GGGrandfather was in
the 30th WIS Company H. Company H was one of the companies that
helped build Fort Rice. He may have even taken part in a rescue
of settlers from the Sioux. Stay tuned!
